Check for wires hanging down from lamps, and appliances if they are easily reached by a crawling baby.
Solution: Cord Minders, Safety Straps Check old style door jambs that are made of metal with a white tip is #1 for choking hazards in a home. The rubber ends can fall off.
Solution: Replace with one piece rubber door jambs.

Check for blinds/drape cords that are less than 48” off the ground
Solution: Cut Drapery Cords to eliminate the loop. Use Cleat on the wall. Shorten cords to blinds and shades and install a blind minder.

Check TV’s, lamps, appliances, furniture that can be climbed, or used by a baby/toddler to pull up on.
Solution: Move lamps and appliances to less accessible area. Anti-Tip Furniture or Safety Straps will prevent objects from tipping over.

Check for windows that can be opened more than 4”
Solution: Use Window Wedges on double hung windows and sliding glass doors. Super Stops also work well. Use Window Latch for outward opening windows.

Check for accessible electric outlets. Did you know that babies are attracted to outlets because they “see” a face (two eyes, a nose and a mouth?)
Solution: Replace existing wall outlet covers with Universal Outlet Covers. While pressing gently, slide plug and cover to one side.
