Let me tell you, there is nothing like being a Nana or a Pop-Pop!!! When we became grandparents a whole new world opened up to us. Kidproteq® was conceived when Sasha was less than a week old. Thanks to our children Dana and Mike (Sasha’s Mom & Dad) we learned that baby and child safety have come a long way since my husband and I had raised our two children. “About 2-1/2 million children are injured or killed by hazards in the home each year. The good news is that many of these incidents can be prevented by using simple child safety devices on the market today.”

He recommended that we get down on our hands and knees and look at our home from a toddler’s point of view. I did just that and was surprised by what I found – there were so many “hazards” in what I thought was my “safe and sound” home! I began my own research. I found that there are a lot of home safety products out there, not always of the highest quality. I decided to search out home safety products that were approved by the JPMA (Juvenile Products Manufacturing Assoc.) and to make these products available to Parents, Grandparents and Caregivers through our certified professional babyproofing installation services. Thus, Kidproteq® was born.  Since then, our other granddaughter Alyssa and grandson Kody were  born to our son, Josh and his wife, Annemarie. I can promise you that I wouldn’t trust anything but the best safety products with my own family.  Because safety products and toys are developed annually, Kidproteq® is always evolving, always staying on top of the child safety industry.

Currently, my husband Jeff maintains our in-home babyproofing consultations and product installations.  I provide professional speaking services at conventions, “Mommy and Me” groups, baby showers and parent / child events.
